MSP2 is a non-competitive program for 8th graders with previous rowing experience. They should have completed either MSPI or a summer Learn to Row camp at LGRC or another club. The program meets twice per week for 2 hours and is 10 weeks long. There is a fall session and a spring session. Coaches introduce young athletes to two different roles - rower and coxswain - and allow interested athletes to try both. Midway through the program, parents have the opportunity to meet with coaches to discuss their athlete's progress. MSP2 has limited enrollment and is often full.
Note: 8th graders who complete MSP1 in the fall are encouraged to move to MSP2 in the spring.
