Summer Junior Learn to Row Camps - High School
If you are new to rowing and looking for a new sport, sign up for one of our Junior Learn to Row Camps. This is the best way to try out the sport, learn the basic skills, and experience rowing at LGRC.
Our week-long Learn to Row Camp for High School and Middle School athletes is designed to teach rising 6th - 12th grade athletes the basics of the sport of rowing, including: - Boat handling - Rowing technique - Land and water training.
This camp will run Monday through Friday, from 9am to noon. For athletes looking for something new, this co-ed camp is a great way to try out the sport of rowing and see if it is for them.
Over the course of the week, camp participants will spend time on land and on the water developing their rowing technique in multi-person rowing shells. The coaches and summer staff will foster a positive and supportive environment which gives the participants the tools they need to continue their rowing development once the camp concludes. Camp graduates are encouraged to join the Novice Development Camp.
